Security Analyst

Tallahassee, Florida (100% Onsite)

Primary Job Duties and Tasks

·        Monitor, analyze, and investigate cybersecurity alerts, events, and indicators of compromise.

·        Support security operations activities through the review and analysis of security monitoring tools, logs, and alerts.

·        Assist with incident response activities, including investigation, documentation, containment, recovery, and lessons learned.

·        Perform vulnerability management activities including vulnerability identification, analysis, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting.

·        Conduct security assessments of systems, applications, cloud environments, and infrastructure components.

·        Assist with identity and access management activities including access reviews, account provisioning processes, privileged access reviews, and identity governance initiatives.

·        Support implementation and administration of cybersecurity technologies and security controls.

·        Review security configurations and recommend improvements to strengthen the Department's security posture.

·        Participate in risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation activities.

·        Support compliance, audit, and regulatory activities through evidence collection, documentation, and control validation.

·        Develop and maintain cybersecurity procedures, standards, operational documentation, and technical guidance.

·        Produce cybersecurity metrics, dashboards, operational reports, and executive-level reporting.

·        Support third-party security reviews and vendor risk management activities.

·        Assist with cloud security initiatives and security modernization efforts.

·        Participate in security architecture reviews and provide recommendations regarding security best practices.

·        Collaborate with Department staff, project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to support cybersecurity objectives and operational priorities.

·        Conduct research and analysis regarding emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and security considerations related to satellite communications and associated systems.

Minimum Required KSAs:

·        3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations.

·        3+ years of experience with security monitoring and event analysis.

·        3+ years of experience supporting vulnerability management programs.

·        2+ years of experience supporting incident response activities.

·        2+ years of experience with identity and access management concepts and processes.

·        Experience conducting cybersecurity research and producing technical reports, white papers, assessments, or other written cybersecurity deliverables.

·        Experience conducting security assessments and risk evaluations.

·        Experience developing technical documentation and security procedures.

·        Understanding of cloud security concepts and security controls.

·        Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and industry best practices.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Ability to communicate technical information effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

·        Ability to provide excellent customer support and produce high-quality work products.
